Outukumpu  (Avesta Polarit)

Relocate 2 Sheffield, was able to offer support and assistance during the early stages of Outokumpu’s consultation period concerning the relocation of their distribution centre from West Midlands to Sheffield.
Initially a series of presentations were given to the entire workforce at their site in the West Midlands. As well as information and images about Sheffield and the surrounding area, the presentations included a general introduction to local schools, hospitals, amenities, house prices as well as recreational pursuits.

Following this, Relocate 2 Sheffield provided individual interview sessions, again at the West Midlands location, to employees and their spouse/partner.
These sessions allowed the employee to ask questions, in particular any concerns they had about relocating and their requirements for their family and lifestyle. This would typically include moving their children to a new school, finding a home in an area that they liked, the technicalities of moving and house prices in their chosen locality.

Once an employee had made the decision to relocate, Relocate 2 Sheffield was able to support them in their move. Information packs were tailored to individual needs - locations and schools were suggested in line with lifestyle requirements and budgets. Other information, such as the processes and costs involved in moving home were also included.
For some key senior personnel, accompanied visits were provided, including a tour of prospective residential areas as well as the surrounding countryside and Sheffield sights.

The service and support given by Relocate 2 Sheffield made the move to a new life in Sheffield a positive and stress-free experience for the families involved.
